IM25 will arrive as your 13th studio album, what does this particular album
mean to you both with it marking such a special and unique milestone?
This is an album that celebrates a quarter century of the evolution of our
sound. We are honoured after all this time to still be relevant and respected;
and we are excited to see what will come in the next 25 years. Our legacy is
our music, and we want to keep making more of it for the world.

You’ve described it as an experimental LP. How did you begin to piece
together this album and why did you choose to explore different styles
and draw upon other musical influences in creating it?
We always like trying new things when we produce. With the extra time
during the pandemic, we were able to take on projects we might not
necessarily have pursued. For example, our recent single from the
upcoming ‘IM25’ album, called “Black Velvet” (featuring Ninet Tayeb),
was a cover that started with a jam session in our studio.

The album was written during COVID times. How did you continue to
motivate yourselves to ensure that this was one of your best bodies of
work to date?
It wasn’t always easy, but we made a new studio right before Covid, so
we were very inspired to work in there, and because of the circumstanc-
es, we were able to do just that. Having all the extra time released some
pressure so that we could enjoy producing at a peaceful pace.

Aside from music, what other hobbies have you developed over the 25
years to keep you occupied during your free time? We hear Erez has a
particular skill for baking pitas?
Yes! Erez is a great chef, we both love to eat good food. We also really
love seeing our kids play sports, and taking them to live sporting events.

Approaching the end of the year we see you have a busy schedule
ahead of you as you embark Phase 1 of your world tour. What can we
expect from your upcoming IM25 shows?
We are on our way to Europe now for shows in the UK and France, then
from October through the end of the year, we will be traversing the USA.
Get ready for new music, big energy, and great times.

Beyond the release of the album and the world tour, can you give us an
insight into what the future may hold for Infected Mushroom? Could
we possibly see IM50 celebrations?
