COVER INTERVIEW > PARISI: A NEW ERA IN EXPRESSIVE DANCE MUSIC
MARCO: Even when we do DJ sets, they’re still live. We
prepare a smaller version of what we do to bring to clubs
to still have that live aspect, as it feels natural for us to
perform. It’s a little bit different for me especially, as Jack
loves DJing. It’s funny because I’ve said to Jack and Fred
in the past that I need to learn to be a DJ because I don’t
know how to do it.
JACK: Luckily Marco has one of the best teachers if he
wants to do it! In general though, what fans can expect is
as much live of a show as possible. I love to DJ but it doesn’t
feel right to do it for our project.
MARCO: There’s no chance that we will ever do a DJ set
without a live musical setup. The goal is to make it as alive
as possible.
JACK: Also we love futuristic things, so fans can expect
futuristic technologies that are very cool to see.
What’s next for PARISI?
JACK: As much music as we can make.
MARCO: One thing that we always speak about is how our
productions and sonics change a lot over time. We are
constantly evolving and I think there will always be this club
side of us, but I think there will be more of a melodic / pop
approach to things whilst still being in the electronic space.
JACK: We would love to have a constant stream of music,
and release whenever we can.
MARCO: We want to show different sides. We’ve scratched
the surface with ‘Believe In Myself’ on the more melodic
side but there’s so much more where that came from. We
need to just put out as much music as we can.
JACK: We’re working very hard. We are finalising that whilst
building the live show. We have a couple of very exciting
collaborations on the way that we can’t say much about,
but they’re exciting. Hopefully they’ll come out this year, but
we’re finishing as much as possible and we’ll try to go into
2025 very strongly.
Starting 2024 strong with the co-production of Anyma’s
‘Pictures Of You,’ followed by a full collaboration by the
name of ‘Sacrifice’ on his ‘Genesys II’ album, it’s safe to say
that PARISI are dominating this year. With much more up
their sleeves, including their latest club release ‘Lights Out,’
now is a more exciting time than ever to keep a close watch
on what’s to come for the duo.
