What does it take to organise an event like this, and how do different parts of your
team come together to make it happen?
The growth from year one to this year was huge in relation to the people that want
to be part of MMATH. During the first edition we learned many lessons and also had
constructive feedback from our initial partners like We Rave You, Bootshaus and 1001
Tracklists. By listening to their feedback, taking into account our own observations
and discussing all these matters with the Room Mate Aitana Hotel management, we
have been able to prepare better and made sure everything was on point for this
year. Of course organising an event like this takes a lot of time. This year we have
hosted more than 15 B2B events through MMATH. Our partners play a big part in what
we do, and communication and preparation is key to creating a memorable week
together.

Is there anything you learnt from hosting last year’s edition, that you have looked
to improve to make the event even better this year?
“We Rave You have played
As mentioned above, I think that communication is always the key to success with
another key part in making these kinds of events. There are many different partners involved. Starting months
ago, I felt that consistent communication was again, key for the process. We as
this year’s event a success”
MMATH were pleased with the preparations and we have been looking forward to
continuing the journey that we started last year.

Undoubtedly, a lot of effort goes into arranging Meet Me At The Hotel. Why do
you feel that it is important to host this event during Amsterdam Dance Event
specifically?
Amsterdam Dance Event is the perfect time to bring together the whole dance
music network. Since many professionals have Amsterdam on their agendas for
October, our focus is to be a one stop location where people can book a hotel room,
set up meetings, showcase their brand and meet with other organisations from the
scene. With MMATH we have that all under one roof, which makes it a perfect option
during Amsterdam Dance Event.

What makes the venue, Room Mate Aitana, the perfect setting for such an event?
The Room Mate Aitana is located perfectly in Amsterdam. It is right behind the
central station, and is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Amsterdam - accessible
by car and bicycle. The venue offers great hotel rooms, large spaces to host
showcases, the I-Dock restaurant space and the various meeting rooms, meaning
that we can provide all we need to satisfy our network.

Keeping in mind your unique approach to collaboration, how does the event
benefit the hotel?
For the hotel, this brings in new international customers. MMATH now has a
reputation for bringing together people from all over the world that would have
normally stayed in other locations in Amsterdam for ADE before our event. With
our amazing collaboration with the Room Mate Aitana, we demonstrate what an
established hotel it is and why they should frequent its outstanding services.

Beyond 2023, are there any plans to grow the Meet Me At The Hotel concept into
something even bigger in the future?
There is definitely interest to grow the concept bigger beyond 2023. There is interest
to host the concept outside of Europe, in places such as Asia, South America and the
USA. The focus has only been on delivering a perfect edition of MMATH this year, but
following that will come announcements about future collaborations. Therefore, I
