SOUND OF THE SUMMER WITH
INCREDIBLE ALBUM RELEASES.
Every time another summer season passes, reflection
seems to focus on the sound and musical releases that
made a splash. Surprising this summer saw many produc-
ers dip their toes into an album release. Notably Martin
Garrix released his first album, ‘Sentio’ was a club focused
11-track album that contained high energy and featured
big-name artists such as Matisse & Sadko, Julian Jordan,
Justin Mylo among others. It was released at the start of
the summer and was praised by fans and critics alike.
Marking his return earlier in the year with a twisting new
sound, Hardwell also released a new album this summer.
The 14-track masterpiece titled ‘Rebels Never Die’ dropped
near the end of the summer on 9th September and saw
cinematic synths and powerful drops at the forefront, a
staple sound of the season. Many tracks could be given the
song of summer title this year with highlights being James
Hype’s ‘Ferrari’, Jax Jones & MNEK’s ‘Where Did You Go’ and
LF System’s ‘Afraid To Feel’ to name a few.
