EDITORIAL > TOMORROWLAND 2023 LINEUP: REVEALED
It’s no secret that Tomorrowland brings with it some of the finest venue
production, with the mainstage proving the real jewel in its crown. Once
again, the organisers have enlisted an illustrious roster of artists who are
due to take to the legendary decks, throwing in a few surprises for good
measure. In recent years, fans have been treated to an eclectic mix of
genres when visiting the mainstage, meaning you can expect under-
ground flavours at the heart of the festival.
As has become expected over the years, the industry’s most popular
mainstream stars will once again take residence on the big stage. The likes
of Tïesto, The Chainsmokers, Steve Angello, Afrojack, Alesso, Dimitri Vegas &
Like Mike and Martin Garrix are all set to appear during weekend one. Then
when the following weekend swings around, all of Hardwell, Dom Dolla,
Steve Aoki, NERVO and Otto Knows make up an incredible lineup among
others, with a special Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso B2B topping
the itinerary. The Daybreak Sessions also return to the mainstage; unique
performances designed to welcome the early birds onto the festival
grounds on each day. Those entrusted with these slots include Claptone,
Laidback Luke and Franky Rizardo across the course of the fortnight.
The more underground influences find themselves sprinkled in with the afore-
mentioned. Techno also takes centre stage as Amelie Lens, Anfisa Letyago
and Nina Kravitz offer something different throughout weekend one, with
Kölsh, Tale of Us and Paul Kalkbrenner taking control just seven days later.
Just behind the Tomorrowland mainstage, the Freedom stage provides
the next best spectacle of the summer. This year, things are to exceed
expectations once again inside this mega arena with some of the finest
names also on offer. What a way to kick things off on the first day of the
festival than with Eric Prydz and his mesmerising HOLO show concept. The
likes of MEDUZA and Agents Of Time also make the cut, with two huge stage
takeovers on the days that follow with Afterlife and Q-Dance hosting the
final two days of the first weekend. Round two brings more of the same,
with the likes of Joris Voorn, HI-LO, Boris Brejcha, Reinier Zonneveld, Armin
van Buuren, Don Diablo and Steve Angello all decorating a busy second
weekend on the Freedom stage.
While welcoming an unfathomable number of artists to play each year,
Tomorrowland has also become synonymous for its ability to attract
some of the finest record labels for stage takeovers. In addition to the
ones we have already mentioned, stage hosts will feature the likes of
Anjunabeats & Anjunadeep, EXHALE, Footworxx, Defected, Tweeka Mania,
STMPD RCRDS and Smash The House among many others. Belgian events
specialists Moose Bar also play host to parts of the festival grounds,
having forged a reputation in the country for their beer hall culture and
parties with DJs and dancers.
