My top Spotify wrapped artist this year is not actually a dance music
artist although he did dabble in some collaborations this year with some My Spotify wrapped was surprisingly a year where I spent a fair amount of time venturing into other
genres outside of dance. After listening to 16,323 minutes, 1,512 songs played, and 846 different artists,
familiar faces. Ólafur Arnalds spent yet another year in my top 5 with his
unique modern classical/ambient sound helping me to wind down over it came down to five: Machine Gun Kelly, Martin Garrix, Illenium, Kendrick Lamar and The Kid LAROI. This
list is no surprise to me actually. Each one of these artists, I believe, are some of the best songwriters
the course of the year. I was lucky enough to see him perform in London
a few months back, and was also surprised to see him collaborate with in music. They give you a voice when you don’t know what to say and allow you to express even your
deepest emotions in song. Their lyrics relate to so many moods, situations, and feelings you might
the likes of ODESZA and RY X, showing he can really blend into any genre
he chooses, especially some of our beloved genres. have and allow you to find comfort that you aren’t the only one. I hope everybody will give these five a
chance in their rotation for 2023 because they truly deserve it.
