n 31 March 2014, the world mourned the irreparable
loss of Frankie Knuckles. The artist passed away in
Chicago at the age of 59 due to health complications,
leaving much to be missed and a huge legacy in
the dance music industry. It is not his death that is
Oremembered, but rather his birth. His and that of house
music, for those who can tell the difference. Knuckles played a pivotal
role in dance music and also in important causes, having raised funds
for charities dealing with AIDS, homelessness and the education of our
youth. 10 years after his death, we invite you to remember the legacy that
Frankie Knuckles left us all.
